Anne Bullen or Anne Boleyn?

As part of the ‘SPIRIT OF PLACE’ exhibition, we thought it would be an appropriate touch to include this little portrait loaned from a Private Collection – exhibited some years ago in Blickling Hall, Norfolk, the little portrait is considered to look like a young Anne Boleyn. Whether it is a true likeness we can only guess but it is exciting to consider that this oil painting reflects the face of Henry VIII’s second wife. The artist who created this charming portrait certainly presents us with more than one question….
