Following college, Carol Matyia Ross pursued a career as an illustrator. In her spare time she concentrated on her own personal studies from nature. Carol was reluctant to exhibit and publish her works until artist friends prompted her to approach some galleries. Success followed swiftly as her painting, delicate renditions of flowers from bud to seed, ripe fruits and fresh vegetables, found an ever growing following worldwide. Carol cites Andrew Wyeth and Avigdor Arikha as her favourite and inspirational artists. |
