JEWEL WILL BE PRIZE IN NATIONAL TRUST HUNT

Win 'Anne Boleyn's necklace'

An exquisite pendant of gold, garnet, diamond and south sea pearl will be won buy one clever but lucky visitor to the National Trust Blickling Hall in Norfolk during the autumn of 2015.

A story will be unveiled during September and October that tells of the return to Blickling of Anne Boleyn in the year 1514. Anne is escorted from the port of Bishop’s Lynn to Blickling by her brother George and two trusted squires. Whilst in Blickling, George presents Anne with a beautiful pendant. The jewel is a gift from Sir Thomas and Lady Elizabeth to welcome their daughter back to England. During her stay at Blickling, prior to her return to Heaver, Anne sits for a portrait and of course wears her new prize.

Now, at some point before Anne leaves Norfolk, the jewel is lost or stolen. Only one person knows who or what took the treasure and where it was found. Soon its your chance to work out the same from clues that will be hidden, in the form of letters, within paintings that will hang in Blickling’s splendid Long Gallery.
