Colin Rawlings of The Red Dot Gallery is both proud and excited to have the opportunity to exhibit a truly unique piece of art, ‘The Rolling Stones’ a significant creation from the artist Deanna Tyson FRSA. Mixed media is a fitting description for this quilted and ‘painted’ wall hanging which is now presented appropriately framed. (120 x 140 cm)
Featuring the band members (left to right) Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and Mick Jagger, the work is a fusion of tactile textile and colourful dyes – Deanna Tyson likes to ‘paint with stitch, draw with her sewing machine’ the results speak for themselves.
Whilst Mick Jagger so famously sings (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Deanna has captured the iconic front man in a somewhat brooding mood, as he stares out of the work he looks rather more than satisfied.
