In 2012 Lizzie Riches was invited to stage a wonderful exhibition in the historic long gallery at Blickling Hall in Norfolk. The hall and its surrounding estate belongs to National Trust. Blickling is reputed to be the birthplace of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII.
The exhibition explored, through paintings, the history and mystery of the hall and its previous inhabitants. In addition many of the works took their inspiration from the gardens and wider estate of Blickling.
The painting was purchased from the exhibition – the private collector has recently asked that we offer it for sale!
