During 2014/15 Kate Leiper’s  was to create a series of paintings that, collectively, portrayed a Michaelmas Pageant of Tudor Birds and Beasts. Swans, Ducks and Geese along with The White Bull, A Dapple Mare, Rabbits and Hunting Hounds and many more dressed and decorated for a unique parade. The collection of work was shown in The Long Gallery, part of Blickling Hall a National Trust property. Blickling is reputed to be the birthplace of Anne Boleyn

Here a gaggle of geese have been dressed for the occasion of the pageant, wearing odd bonnets or coifs made from rabbit skin.
